Overview

Agatti

One of Lakshadweep’s most stunning lagoons may be seen near Agatti. This island is where the airport is located. The view of the island’s airfield from the plane as it approaches for a landing is breathtaking. The gateway to the islands is essentially Agatti. Here is a 20-bed tourist complex with all contemporary conveniences. Agatti is one of the islands in Lakshadweep that is most easily accessible since Indian Airlines offers flights there.

Bangaram

Agatti and Kavaratti are both extremely close to the tiny island of Bangaram, which has the shape of a teardrop. The vacation resort on this island offers wonderful chances for visitors to relax and escape the stresses of contemporary life. Nearby to Bangaram are the two little islands of Thinnakara and Parali, which are both surrounded by the same lagoon. The beach has a gorgeous bluish glow at night because to phosphorescent plankton that washes up on the coral sands. Visitors to this resort have a choice between a boat or a helicopter transfer from Agatti. It has its own charm because it is the sole resort on an uninhabited island in Lakshadweep. Bangaram has established itself as a prime travel destination for affluent, discriminating travellers.

Thinnakara

The enormous lagoon and coralline banks that share Thinnakara island and Bangaram island are shared by both of them. The lagoon’s exact area is 125.21 square kilometres. The locations of Parali (i) and Parali (ii) lie on the lagoon’s north-south edge. 8 km to the northeast of Agatti, where the airport is situated, is the little island of Thinnakara, which has the shape of a teardrop. Beautiful lagoons, secluded seashores, sun-drenched beaches, the allure of swaying palms, incredible marine flora and fauna, and all of these harmonies combine to create the vibrant kaleidoscope typical of an archipelago paradise. Phosphorescent plankton that has washed up on the coral sands during the night gives the beach a stunning blue glow.

Kavaratti

Kavaratti serves as the administrative centre for India’s Union Territory of Lakshadweep. The Island of Kavaratti, which is located 360 kilometers off the coast of the State of Kerala at 10.57°N 72.64°E, is home to the nearest major city on the Indian mainland, which is 404 kilometres (218 nautical miles) away. Its lagoon measures 3.46 square miles. Karavatti has been chosen as one of 100 Indian cities to be transformed into smart cities as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s renowned Smart Cities Mission.
